At our last place of residence, we changed from land line telephone service to voice-over-internet service, keeping the same telephone number. We have since moved to a new place, simply transferring our new service and number with us. However, telephone directories still have us listed at our older house. Looking on-line, it still says that we are a land line with the old company even though we successfully transferred our number to the VoIP service, who has the correct address for us at least in terms of billing, and have not been a customer with the older service for some time now. What steps can we take to correct our directory listing so that at least we are no longer listed as being at the old place? Thanks in advance.|||Call customer service and find out what you have to do to correct it. They may be able to fix it then. If you moved around the time the book went press than the information they had was correct at that time.|||contact BT customer service and ask if your name can be removed from the next directory print as you no longer use land lines.|||-now in the future you might want to specify to the telephone company that you wish the new number to be non published and remain private, they normally charge you a small monthly fee, but in your case it's worth it,.
good luck,..,hope this helpes,.
